Here is an early 20th century DC voltmeter. That was products by the Hoyt Instrument Electrical Works Company in 1925. It was us to check the voltage on the early cars like the Model-T’s. It would be mounted on the dash or firewall of the cars or hand held by the mechanic to test the voltage of the electoral system of the early cars. Meters from this time paired and are a very rare fine and this is the only one I have seen from the Hoyt Instrument Electrical Works Company. The glass in excellent shape and some paint has fallen off and some rust and the meter dose show wear. It is mounted in a wood box and the name tag on the front of meter identifies the company as:
Don’t let this one slip by you may never see another one like it.
