What we have here is a pressed glass amethyst divided serving dish that is divided into three sections. The serving dish was designed by Rudolf Schötter and produced by the Rudolfova Hut’ Glassworks that was establish in 1905 in the town of Dubí in the Teplice district of Czechoslovakia. The Rudolfova Hut’ Glassworks was one of the members of the Joint-Stock Company also known as Sklo Union which is a group of factories being untied in Germany about the 1930s. This serving dish was in the company’s product category that was publish before World War II, which ended all glass production and exporting of glass until about the 1950s. At which time the serving dish was product again with a candlewick rim I am not sure, where the word “Pollax” comes into play other then it could be the name of the design. The pattern number is 12155 and was produced in three colors that I know of clear, amber, and amethyst and this is the only amethyst dish I have ever seen. Rare! The base is flat polished, and, on the underside, there are two very small scratches that can only be seen if you hold it up to the light and one manufacture defect on the top of the dish on one of the dividers. Other than that, it is in mint condition with no cracks, chips, necks, fleabites, repairs, stains, and has not been modified in any way.
