Anchor Hocking 9-Piece Lazy Susan

     One of the biggest names in Depression glass was Hocking, which became Anchor Hocking in 1937. During the 1930s, Hocking was able to produce 90 pieces of glassware per minute, which meant that the Anchor Hocking Company could sell Depression glass at a low price, which in retune low-income people could purchase their products. This Lazy Susan set is made up of nine pieces, which is one turning base, one large platter, one center bowl, and six side dishes. Some call this Early American Pattern Glass or EAPC, which it is not EAPC for the main reason the Early American Pattern Glass timeline was from 1850 to 1910 and the set was made in the 40’s. The pattern is called the Prescut Pressed Star/Fan Design and in the glass. Precut means a mold was cut ahead of time and the pressed stands for the press machinery use to press the molten glass into the precut mold. This pattern has been discontinued and sometime the glass color would be added to the pattern name. The set is in exhalent condition and the base turns freely.
