Desktop Letter Holder Accessory Set

     Here is a 1950 desktop accessory set which a cute wire doggy letter holder and a multi-level file holder. The dog’s head is a clothespin that was popular in the 50s for hanging clothing on the cloth line. At that time, most people did not have cloth dryers like todays homes. The file holder has six slot for holding six files, papers, etc. it is made with high tension wire giving it strength and painted black. The file holder has rubber caps on all four feet so it will not scratch the desktop and hold hold it in place. I do not know if the set was mass-produce or made it to make money. On the letter holder, the dog could hold outgoing letters in its month and the hind legs are spread apart to hole the incoming mail. The file holder has an upward slop which allows file folders to be at different levels for easy viewing of the files names. On the inside is the word “NALTEX Austin Texas” Naltex is the company’s name. It is a cute set along with being functional. Great for your home or office desk or just put it into your collection. Some of the black paint has been worn off on the doggy letter holder Other than that, it is in excellent condition with no cracks, necks, repairs, fleabites, or stains.
