     This glass pattern is referred to as diamante/starburst pattern. The center of the plater has the typical starburst that is seen in a lot of antique glass products and still being used in some glass patterns. The diamante translated is “decorated with artificial jewels” that is for the diamond like pattern around the starburst. The diamante design is also used in a lot antique glass design and cut crystal glass. The producer of this diamante/starburst pattern was Arcoroe France and is part of the Luminarc series which was starting in 1963 and ran until 1968. The ARC International North America, Inc. which is a subsidiary of Verrerie Cristallerie d’ Arques in France reproduced it in the United States. Arcaro is recognized worldwide for its genuine heat- and shock-resistant tempered glassware known as "Verre Trempe." This serving platter has a center ring for holding a bowl for dips, salsa, etc. on the bottom it has “USA” and opposite of that is the number “17”. It is in mint condition with no cracks, chips, necks, fleabites, repairs, or stains. In addition, it looks like it has never been used.
