This milk glass square dish was produced by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company and has the “Diamond Quilt” Pattern and was made between 1933 to 1938. Hazel Atlas Glass Company was in business from 1902 to 1964 and in that time the company had up to 15 facilities and was one of the lagers glass producers in that time frame. The pattern resembles other glass patterns, like English Hobnail, Diamond Point, Diamond Squares, or Indiana Diamond making it easy to miss identifies the pattern. This dish could have been used as a fruit dish, salad dish, candy dish, and more uses. This dish was made in larger quantities and there is a lot of these dishes on the market today if someone wanted collect a number of the dishes for daily use I believe it was sold as Dinnerware not art glass however the Hazel Atlas Glass Company did make art glass. It has a scallop top edge and it is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, fleabites, nicks, repairs, or stains.
