This is a fossil Walrus ivory tusk stretch bracelet that was handcrafted by a Native Alaska Eskimo in the late 30s to early 40s. The bracelet consist of ten cross cuts sections of the ivory tusk in various sizes. The lagers cross cut section is 1.13”x 0.875”x 0.13” (thick) in size. The smallest back cross cut section is  0.75”x 0.50”x 0.13” and the eight remaining cross cut side section (4 on each side) being equal in size from side to side that is smaller than the front cross cut section and larger than the back cross cut sections. The side cross cut sections reduces in size by a small amount from front to back. The main front cross cut section has an Eskimo in a Kayak on the water with spear in hand hunting for game. The spear has a rope tied to it for retrieving the spear after it has been thrown at the game animal. (In this case, a fish I think) in addition, there is a shadow image in the water below the Kayak of the Eskimo, Kayak, and spear. This image has been burned into the front main cross section ivory. It is held together with a stretch string so it can expand over the hand to fit on the wrist firmly. It is nicely crafted and does not show any wear on the bracelet at all. A very nicely Native Alaska handcrafted bracelet, in great shape for being an 81 year old bracelet. it is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, necks, scratches, repairs, fleabites, stains, or wears-marks.
