Handcrafted Navajo Turquoise Necklace

     Here is a true handcrafted Navajo Turquoise necklace that was made and came into the family in the late 1940s. It consists of hand shaped round Turquoise rings with a string threaded though the center of the round Turquoise rings. It has a metal hook clasp to secure the necklace around the neck. The Turquoise does not have any "spider web," "water web “or” Birdseye" and would be graded as natural Turquoise or standard jewelry grade. The Turquoise rings vary in sizes from one end clasp to the other end clasp. The round Turquoise rings start small and gets bigger at the center of the necklace and back to smaller to the other end of the necklace. The smalls Turquoise rings are just a little under a quarter of an inch and the center turquoise rings is about 0.375 of an inch. A nicely crafted necklace is in mint condition with no turquoise rings missing. Today’s (Nov.18, 2019) market value of Turquoise is $1.00 to $10.00 per carat or can range from $0.05 to $1000 per carat depending on the quality. This Turquoise necklace is graded as natural turquoise or standard jewelry grade. To price this necklace, I will be using the value of $1.00/ct. its weight is 340.194 cts.
