Ironstone Porcelain W/ Manchu Pattern

The Mason's Ironstone Porcelain Company was founded by a group of potters who traded under various names in the early 19th century but was finally named Mason's Ironstone ltd in 1969. This set is a rare pattern hard to find. The color pattern was named “Manchu” by Mason in which the brown was the primary color in the pattern, but other color was used as well within the pattern. The hallmark is the standard Mason's Ironstone LTD. crown and banner that Mason's Ironstone LTD. used on many of their products and the word England. The selling for this ironware was “Permanent Detergent Proof Decoration” and “Guaranteed Permanent Acid Resisting Colors” along with the pattern name. The hallmark was used after 1950. Both the cup and saucer have the scalloped rim with a matching emboss design on the rim of both the cup and saucer. It is in mint condition with no dents, cracks, chips, necks, scratches, fleabites, repairs, stains, or wears-marks. In addition, it looks like it has never been used.
