Maknu Furniture Polish Pint Can

     This is a Frontier Manufacturer Companies Maknu Furniture Polish can. The Frontier Manufacturer Co. was based in Niagara Fall, New York at the start of the 20^th century. The company claimed that this Maknu Furniture Polish would bring back the luster on all polished surfaces. That it was a wonderful cleaning and dusting liquid. In addition, it claimed that it could be used on Furniture, Fine Floors, Pianos, Wood-Work, Brass Beds, Automobiles, and etc. it states on the can that one pint of the polish only cost $0.25. The label is put on the can upside down. Why? I am not sure; I could not find any history of the company. Looking at the design of the can and the label, I would date to around 1910s or 1920s. the can does have some small dents (two on the bottom and one on the side) the label has two small tears and one spot at the label edge in which someone in the past had torn it off to read the directions print. Which is not damage though time but part of the antique can’s character though history. Other than that, it is in excellent condition. I have not tried to open the can because that could lower the value of the antique.
