Matching Twin Bud Vases

     This is a match set of bud vases. There are no maker marks on the vases or any marks to help identify the vases, age, the maker, manufacture, or country of origin. What is known about the vases is (1) they are not identical even they look the same. This would mean that they were not mass-produced by a machine, more by hand. (2) If they were made in another country they would have come into this country between 1891 to 1930. After 1930 all item shipped to the United States for resell had to have a stamp with the “Country of Origin” stamped on them or they could not be sold in the United States. When the United State started identifying products is unknown. Handmade items would not have any maker marks in most cases, even to this day. (3) A two-piece mold was not us to make these vases, more like a one-piece mold or handmade. There are marks on the bottom of the vases that look like where porcelain was cut off. The two vases are in excellent condition, no cracks, chips, water stains, wear patterns.
