Papago Yucca Plant Hand Woven Dish

     The Papago Tohono O’odham tribe made this handmade basket in the late 30’s to the early 40’s using the Yucca plant, leaf fibers, and roots. This hand woven treasure from the Papago Tohono O'odham tribe shows their skills in basket weaving. The flat dish shows the coils and woven of the traditional basket making design used by the Papago Indians. It is in excellent condition and looks like it has never been used. It is a true treasure of southwestern Native America creativity. This woven dish would look good surrounded other Native American collectibles or as an addition to your basket collection.
