Replica of Blue Mountain Pottery Vase

     This design was first product by Blue Mountain Pottery Co., which was located in Collingwood, Ontario Canadian. What makes Blue Mountain Pottery Co. unique was there, glazing process known as "reflowing decorating." which is the applying of two different glazes colors on the item, one light color and one dark color and during the firing process, the two colors would flow together. This would create a streaking color pattern that is unique for each item. I do not believe this item was made by Blue Mountain Pottery Co. there is only one color not the standard two colors that Blue Mountain Pottery Co. was known for. The reflowing glazing process created unique pieces that were a one-of-a-kind stunning streaked pattern, ensuring that no two items would be alike. Unfortunately, I do not think this is a Blue Mountain Pottery Co. reflowing product. For two main reasons one it is only one color and secondly the base of this pottery does not have the standard 1/8” to 1/4” ridge bottom. It is old it has been packed away for the last 40+ years and is nicely made.
