Lost information from the past becomes a mystery in the future. These six-crystal Thistle stemware glasses are one of those mysteries from the past. Found no positive identification on these Thistle stemware glasses or maker. However, did find similar patters on other Thistle stemware glasses suggesting that they are from the Art Deco era, which is from the late1930s to the mid-1940s. A number of glass companies produced the crystal Thistle stemware style that closely resembles these glasses. This Thistle style glass was used for wines or sherry in upper class bars and restaurant or bought for privet home use. There is six-fluted style pattern around the stem, the base of the glass has a heavy drape swirl pattern, and the top half of the glass has holly leaves and barrier pattern etched into the glass, which gives the impression they could have been use for holydays like Christmas time. They are not cut crystal but pressed in a four-piece glass mold. Each glass weights about 3.73 ounces and holds about two fluid ounces. This is a very rare pattern to fine. The Thistle glasses are in pristine condition, with no cracks, chips, scratches, or modifications. They appear to have never been used or have been lightly used.
